In Entrusted: When Enemies Show Up, we discover that God has entrusted each of us with Kingdom work that carries eternal significance, even when it appears small or unnoticed. Like Nehemiah, we need God’s wisdom to recognize opposition, resist distraction, build in community, and remain faithful to our place on the wall. Nehemiah’s heart was burdened for Jerusalem, and pursuing God’s call required him to endure ridicule, threats, hardship, and sacrifice. Jesus embraced suffering to bring salvation and restoration, and as His followers, we must be prepared to endure hardship as we lay down our lives for the blessing of others.
